Roast Turkey

This is a simple way to roast Turkey.  I use this method for both Thanksgiving and Traditional Christmas Dinner.

Recipe:

Ingredients

Measure

Turkey

Depending on the number of people

Butter

50-100g

Salt & Pepper

To season

 

Method:

1)  Preheat oven to 170°C

2)  Place turkey in roasting tin

3)  Smother turkey with butter

4)  Season with Salt & Pepper

5)  Cover with foil

6)  Roast for 1 ½ hours depending on the weight

7)  Baste with juices for the last 30 mins of cooking

8)  Be sure to cover it back up when placing back in the oven

9)  Once cooked and juices run clear remove from oven

10)  Cover with foil and allow turkey to rest for at least 10 mins before carving and serving
