Our Community Kitchen exists to reduce social isolation for people of all ages and abilities by bringing together the local community of Haddington and Lammermuir to enjoy good hearty fresh food and allowing friendships to form.

OCK runs from Haddington Bowling Club and has organically developed. We also work with our local Area Partnership around holiday hunger for pupils whose families are in receipt of a low income.

Haddington Rugby Football Club has a proud history.  We are delighted to have PureMalt as our primary sponsor, particularly with their strong industrial heritage within the town.
Building rugby teams is multi-faceted. The support that PureMalt provides to Haddington RFC enables us to ensure that our senior teams have strips to wear, that we can ensure adequate changing facilities to members of all ages and genders, as well as for community clubs and schools. PureMalt has enabled us to ensure that the next crop of players is developed by enabling coaches to be accredited, as well as providing funding for our Youth Development Officer.

The difference PureMalt has had on the club is not only based upon financial investment. PureMalt has become a part of the Haddington RFC family. Whether attending games, or by recognising success by selecting and presenting “Man of the Match” awards, PureMalt has always shown a keen interest in the success of the club. We look forward to this continuing long into the future, with Haddington RFC and PureMalt remaining at the heart of the community.

Haddington Athletic currently has around 270 players, with around 70 volunteers, who are either Coaches or Committee members. The Club has a development pathway for players, from 5 year-olds in our Soccer School, through to adults in the 1st Team. We have boys’ and girls’ youth teams, playing 7, 9 & 11-a- side football, in both the Edinburgh and East Lothian Leagues. The 1st Team play in the East of Scotland League and have recently been accepted for a Full Licence, by the SFA, which will enable them to play in the Scottish Cup.

The Youth teams play out of the fantastic facility at Whittingehame Drive, which includes a Pavilion and floodlit 3G all weather pitch. The 1st Team are based at Millfield, on the enclosed floodlit grass pitch.

PureMalt have generously sponsored our 2009 youth team since 2019, purchasing home and away kits for the team. This has been a huge help to the team financially and we fully appreciate the support that our neighbours at PureMalt provide.

PureMalt are delighted to sponsor Knox Academy Girls’ Football team this coming season.

"We are incredibly grateful to PureMalt for their generous sponsorship, which has made a huge difference to the Knox Academy Girls Football team.

Whilst the club is still in its early days, the number of girls taking part has been increasing rapidly year on year.

Prior to receiving PureMalt’s support, the girls were having to utilise football strips that had been handed down from the senior boy’s football team. These strips were run-down and didn’t fit the girls properly, leaving them feeling uncomfortable and restricted.

PureMalt’s sponsorship has allowed us to purchase new strips, specifically for the girls, which has made them feel like part of a real team and given them much more confidence on the pitch. They look incredibly smart and wear them with pride when representing the school against other teams in the league.

We are delighted that PureMalt have agreed to continue their Sponsorship into the 23/24 academic year. These funds will be used to invest in new training kit that will be used all year round in training to help improve the girls’ performance at games.

It is amazing to see local businesses in Haddington supporting girls’ sports at Knox Academy, which will hopefully continue to grow in the future."

PureMalt are proud sponsors of the Haddington & District ASC French exchange. This year will see the Haddington based team head over to Pau to compete in swimming competitions and participate in a cultural and social exchange.

PureMalt are proud to be sponsoring 12 year old Ice Hockey player, Harry Hudson, to help achieve his dream, to play for Team Great Britain.

'I am so grateful to PureMalt for sponsoring me.

I have been playing ice hockey since I was 4 years old and have been selected to play for Scotland in 2022, 2023 and again for 2024. This year I have also qualified to play for Elite British Selects 2011’s.

I have an amazing opportunity to go to Riga, Latvia at the end of March with Elite British Selects.

Ice hockey is completely self funded, so PureMalt's generous donation will help towards my training in Nottingham, my Riga costs as well as my strip, tracksuit and kit costs.

My dream is to play for GB in the future.'

The Waggonway Project is dedicated to showcasing the history of Scotland's earliest railway and its associated industries through archaeology, living history and community heritage projects.

'Our current project is the construction of a full scale working waggonway in East Lothian and we were delighted to receive sponsorship from PureMalt towards our goal. The 5-year project will bring together volunteers from across the local community and beyond to create a living history legacy asset for the local area, bringing visitors from further afield to the benefit of local heritage, tourism and visitor-based local economy.

Having PureMalt as a sponsor will help fund some of our essential project resources, including tools and PPE for our volunteers, which will be of great value as the project progresses, allowing them to learn traditional skills in their work. We're very grateful for this donation and extend our thanks to all at PureMalt.' - Ed Bethune, Representative of the 1772 Waggonway Project
