I create every day food recipes for all to enjoy and often experiment with the addition of malt extracts in some of my dishes.     Slow Cooker Whole Chicken

    Slow cooker whole chicken with vegetables.  I love this one pot meal recipe. Chicken can often be dry but this method ensures a juicy chicken! You can add other vegetables if you prefer

    Recipe:

    Ingredients

    Measure

    Fresh Chicken

    Medium Sized

    Potatoes

    4 large

    Carrots

    4 large

    Red Onions

    2 large

    Lemons

    2

    Fresh Tarragon

    Handful

     

    Method:

    1)  Cut potatoes into large chunks, leaving the skin on

    2)  Peel and slice onions into large pieces

    3)  Chop carrots into chunks

    4)  Add to slow cooker

    5)  Cut lemons into quarters and place inside the chicken (you can also add garlic at this point if you wish)

    6)  Place the chicken on top of the veg

    7)  Sprinkle with salt and pepper and scatter the tarragon over the top

    8)  Cook for 6 hours on high or 8 hours on low

    9)  You can thicken the gravy with a little corn flour if required
