This slow cooked ginger ham is perfect with mashed potatoes, sprouts and green beans but you can of course select your own vegetables

Gammon Joint |

Grated Ginger |

Ginger Beer |

Brown Sugar |

Method:
1) Place gammon joint in slow cooker
2) Pour the ginger beer over the joint
3) Add grated ginger into the beer
4) Add dark brown sugar
5) Cook on high for 8 hours
6) When cooked, place joint on a serving dish and shred
7) Transfer the juices from the slow cooker into a saucepan and boil rapidly to reduce and intensify flavor
8) Pour over the shredded ham and mix through
9) Serve with your choice of vegetables
